NaPoWriMo Poems April 3 -7

Sorry for not posting these sooner. I thought I had done the first two already. But I have been enjoying the challenge so far. Though around 10 pm I realize I still had write a poem. Yikes. I manage to come up with one with help of my magntics poetry set. I just pull out a few words and use them to created a poem. In case you are curiuos, I still have to write one for today. It's 6:05 pm.

April 3

Star, stars
and more stars.

One should be claim for the lover
but who’s dead, who’s alive
and has somebody already
claim them all, not thinking of others.

It’s dark now
and before the blind is pulled down.

I look out.

Instead of the stars, a face
is reflected, there’s only one.
Never the second appears.

Your in another window,

in another place, looking at the same stars
at a different hour from me.

It’s not fate,
more of damnation of our real lives.

***

April 4

Why, deserves an answer
not another question.

Aren't we too old ?
To play on the merry go around.

Besides, the rings we caught
that day, were lost years ago.

April 5
( this one is a joke.)

After a week of clouds

Is this Spring?
or Winter in Spring’s clothing.

So much like you,
being dress as a wolf.
When really, you’re a vampire.

April 6

For two days, the sun comes out
after the four o’clock hour. Again
I’m caught by the four walls,
who won’t let me out and be still.

So the mind races between
the curves of thoughts.
Wondering if I’ll ever leave
the track and just roam.

April 7

Never can write
a poem with a broken pen

And the memory
rather scratched you in.

Moon come down.
Wanting to kiss you,
since the other face
is not here this night.

Yet, the pen is not broken,
four messy lines are written,
I’ll look at them later.

Now I’ll just walk
with the dusk’s half moon.

Don't ask me to explain this too much, but the April 7 poem is the one that touched me the most. Carolyn H.
