Once a white rose lived,
now dried in a blue vase.
Cracked petals falls
to the brown desk,
but not to the earth.

Dust cover the rose
strands of it, tethering
the petal to the one below.
Has a spider walk it?

Hand carelessly to a point,
frees half the petals.
Now it returns the soil
as it would done at home.
