Rainy Saturday

Ah such a wonderful rainy Saturday. It wouldn’t be so bad, if I didn’t have a slight headache too. Oh well. Finally got around setting the BlogJet for posting. Sorta prefer this for long entries. Just suits me.

For once in along time. Actually going work on some poems tonight. Have been writing all week. There is one I’m looking forward tackle with. Short one but good. Now I wonder if I was to quick to rip up the other poems. They are gone now, so start over. (Ugh it’s a chilly damp day here, finally broke down and put the heat on.) This issue of Poetry Magazine is good. Poems by Louise Gluck, Mary Oliver and Jane Hirshfield. Wish they would cut back on the prose part and give us more poems. Love the cover art, It’s a man made out of hammerhead and stones. The face is from an old photograph. Ah I feel some heat. Maybe I’ll start typing better. Well it will help if I stop eating Double Stuff Oreo too. LOL

I have been reading some Quakers Blogs. Most are excellent. I always wanted to join the Quakers or The Society of Friends, Alas there is no meeting house close by. The nearest one is 25 miles away and meet only for a half a year. Plus I’m stuck working Sunday.(Hate it) But in a way I considered myself a Quaker. Most my info comes from the internet. I’m mix with the Bible part. I found some the stuff written appalling, the violence in the old testament turns me off. Yet some of it quite beautiful. Plus I don’t believe in the Second Coming stuff. Actually getting sick of hearing about. Yet I believe there is a God. At one time there was a Jesus Christ. Whether he was a son of God is really unknown. I wasn’t there , yet somebody live this life. Or he wouldn’t be known. I kinda view as a Buddha sorta kind of guy. And as with all storytelling. The truth does get stretched a bit. However I’m trying to read more. Need a new one badly. Next time I go to a bookstore.

Enough for today, this room needs to clean up a bt,Ok alot. The desk needs to be clear off too. So end it here.
