Sink and Moon

A sink
reflects the moon.

A slice, distorted
to a circle, held by metal.

A full moon
would fill the sink.

It won’t distort
back into a slice

and all the traces
of the old water

are gathering the moon.

Two fingers touched
cold metal
not the moon.

As long the clouds-
aren’t the first sight

that night.
